The first few months of a baby’s life are particularly important, and proper nutrition plays a crucial role in their development. Preparing baby food requires care and attention to ensure your little one gets all the nutrients they need. In this blog post, we share valuable tips on how to prepare baby food gently. Whether you’re an experienced parent or just embarking on this exciting journey, this advice will help you give your baby a healthy and delicious start in life.
- Take care when preparing fruit and vegetables. Wash the food thoroughly under running water before chopping. Bring the water to a boil briefly, then add the chopped fruit or vegetables. After a few minutes, turn the hob down to a low heat and allow the fruit or vegetables to simmer. The total cooking time should only be a few minutes.
- We recommend finely puréeing the pap at first. As your child gets older, you can make the pap more and more coarse. Finger food should not be given to children before their sixth month of life. The most important thing is to supervise your child when eating.
- Avoid use of any seasoning such as salt, bouillon, sugar, etc.
- Cool down homemade pap quickly and store it in the fridge. Leftovers should be consumed within 24 hours and only reheated once.
