Regional production in Switzerland
Our cow’s milk-based follow-on milks are produced in Switzerland, which strengthens the local economy, guarantees short transport routes and minimises CO₂ emissions.
- Strengthens regional agriculture.
- High transparency and quality assurance.
- Supports the Swiss economy.

From milk to baby food
We receive deliveries of fresh milk every day at our production facilities in Switzerland, which we then turn into skimmed milk, whey protein and lactose. The ingredients we produce then go on to form the main component of Bimbosan follow-on milks.
- Fresh Swiss milk as the basis.
- Processing in our own production facilities.
- Important ingredients for optimal baby nutrition.
Why we rely on Swiss milk
Optimal land use
80% of the utilised agricultural area in Switzerland is grassland, which is ideal for dairy farming.
High quality thanks to grasslands
Switzerland’s high-quality grasslands enable first-class milk production with good animal health and low use of concentrated feed.
Natural feed
Swiss cows feed on 90% domestic fodder, including grass and hay of excellent quality.
Gentle cultivation
Diverse grasslands with herbs and clover require less nitrogen fertiliser and support the environment.
Short transport routes
Swiss milk is locally produced and processed, guaranteeing short distances and maximum freshness.
Rigorous standards
Strict legal requirements and regular checks ensure the high quality and safety of Swiss milk.
Happy cows, happy Bimbosan
